I'm Spiritual Damnit! Jen Weigel's One-Woman Show!

ACADEMY AFTER HOURS is The Laughing Academy's grown-ups-only late-night performance series, bringing the best of Chicago comedy right to YOU right here in the 'burbs!

In her one woman show, "I'm Spiritual, Dammit", Jen will share stories from her years of interviews and encounters, including four books and 10 audio books. From doctors who have had near death experiences, to evidence of miracles, Jen is a journalist who has been exploring the topic extensively for the past 20 years. Her work is considered the bridge between the spiritual and the scientific. And she will be joined by a suprise guest medium!

Known for tackling spirituality with humor through her writing and has written four books: “Stay Tuned”, “I’m Spiritual, Dammit!” “This Isn’t the Life I Ordered” and “Psychics, Healers and Mediums.

Jen is an award-winning broadcast journalist who has been on a journey to bring spirituality into the main stream media for over twenty years. She won an Emmy for her on- camera reporting for CBS and her work has covered all platforms, from print journalism where she worked as a columnist for both the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-times, to radio and television. Jen has had television roles in such shows as Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med and is busy with voice over work when she’s not interviewing inspirational people. Her one-woman- show “I’m Spiritual, Dammit!” had two successful runs on the Chicago stage.
