Illustration Workshop
This workshop takes place in my beautiful studio/patio garden in Sturminster Newton.
During this session, you will enjoy learning illustration techniques in this workshop featuring alcohol pens and Sakura Glaze pens.
You will be introduced to my unique method of Japanese-style illustration through a series of short activities to build your confidence with different materials.
Working from images and photos while incorporating collage elements, throughout the session, you will learn how to draw, blend colours, and create captivating narratives.
The final piece will be mounted on a wooden panel for you to take home. All materials will be provided; bring along some images or photos you wish to illustrate.

Workshop schedule
Start Time: 11 AM Refreshments: Enjoy coffee, tea, and pastries as we kick off. Workshop Activities: Begin by practising techniques for blending alcohol pens. Use glaze pens to focus on line, colour, and mark-making. Select images to work with while exploring various methods of incorporating collage. Conclude by creating an illustrated collage on a wood panel. Wrap up at 13pm. An option to add a coating of resin will be available during the final stages at an extra cost. • 2 hrs 11am – 1.00pm • Cost £22 • Held in my studio. • A selection of materials will be provided, including a quality wooden board for your final piece of work • Tea, coffee and snacks provided.
