Hackathon Rewards - Cash Prize:1st Prize: 35,000 INR2nd Prize: 25,000 INR30 years back, expertise was a primary skill in any field. But today, understanding of data is the primary skill. Where do you stand on that? Let’s get together to use data to solve real life problems.Who can participate?Anyone with a passion for coding can participate. It’s open for college students, college dropouts, frustrated employees, happily unemployed, freelancers and those who can do wonders with zeroes and ones.Rules:<ul><li>Bring your own laptops.</li><li>You can participate as an individual or in a team of maximum 4 members.</li><li>You can invite your friends or colleagues to form a team (need not be from the same college/organization).</li><li>Problem statements will be given 2 days before the Hackathon.</li><li>You may use any technology, framework or platform to complete the hack.</li><li>Your hack must be developed entirely during the Hackathon duration.</li><li>The entire idea need not be fully implemented. However the submission should be functional so that it can be demonstrated and reviewed by the judges.</li><li>You get 5 minutes for demo and presentation. It is recommended to keep the pitch short and leave 2-3 minutes for the judges to ask questions to get a better understanding of your hack.</li></ul>Hackathon ScheduleMarch 21st, Saturday<ul><li>10.00 AM: Introduction, Discussion of IoT Hackathon ideas.</li><li>11.00 AM: Coding begins</li><li>01.00 PM – 02.00 PM: Lunch</li><li>02.00 PM – 05.00 PM: Coffee and Coding</li></ul>March 22nd, Sunday<ul><li>10.00 AM: Coding begins</li><li>01.00 PM – 02.00 PM: Lunch</li><li>02.00 PM – 03.00 PM: Coding. Demo Preparation</li><li>03.00 PM – 05.00 PM: Demos and Awards</li></ul>Closure:<ul><li>You’ll hook your own laptop on to the beamer (either VGA or HDMI)</li><li>If you want to use audio in your pitch, let us know on time!</li><li>You get 5 minutes’ stage time. It’s up to you if you use the full length for your pitch or demo, or rather keep the pitch. short and open up 2 or 3 minutes for the judges to ask questions and get a better understanding of your hack.</li><li>It’s up to you if you want to show a demo, a presentation or something crazy. Remember that live demos are really cool but comes with a risk (free tip: Record a screen-cap of your demo as a back-up)</li></ul>
