The 2020 Illinois Humanities Public Humanities Award Luncheon is a free, state-wide virtual show.

Ewing, and Weinberg/Newton Gallery.Illinois Humanities is adapting and offering our programs online to keep them accessible, and we just launched a $635,000 Illinois Humanities COVID-19 Emergency Relief Grant initiative to support the humanities and cultural organizations around the state impacted by the pandemic. Your support during this time will go towards helping our work to ensure that the humanities – as well as the humanists and cultural leaders – are able to continue their critical work now and beyond the pandemic. She has used her considerable communications skills to develop affordable accessible housing and works for positive change in reproductive rights and public education. She continues to produce cultural events for the Chicago Public Library, the Poetry Foundation and others to build community and inspire action.Eve L. Ewing is a professor at the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration where her teaching and research focus on race and education.
