Ikebana Workshop with Tiger Blossom Studio

Sunday, May 3, 2026

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Free onsite parking. All materials included.

Join us at Rancho Los Alamitos for a guided botanical art experience led by Tiger Blossom Studio. Rooted in principles of Japanese ikebana, mindfulness, and sensory awareness, this workshop invites participants to slow down and engage with the natural world through creative practice.

Set within the Rancho’s historic gardens, participants will explore floral arranging as a way to connect with place, seasonality, and personal expression. Through observation and hands-on work with natural materials, the workshop offers a space for reflection, creativity, and connection.

Participants will:

  • Learn foundational principles of botanical arranging inspired by Japanese Ikebana
  • Develop presence through observation, touch, and attention to natural materialsg
  • Explore personal expression through form, color, and composition
  • Engage the senses in a calming, restorative creative process
  • Take home their own arrangement

This workshop is open to all experience levels and offers a welcoming environment for both beginners and those with an established creative practice. Includes all materials including the tools to continue this practice on your own. Bring a friend or solo. This would be a great Mother's Day activity, too.

Space is limited. For ages 18 years and up. We will hold an Ikebana workshop for kids later this year.

Rancho Los Alamitos is located within the gated community of Bixby Hill in Long Beach. The entry point is via the security gate at Anaheim Road and Palo Verde Avenue.

Aiyana created Tiger Blossom to share the healing and inspiration she found through Ikebana. Her journey began as a way to reconnect with her grandmother, Kyoko, who also studied Ikebana. Certified by the Ohara School in Japan, her classes blend traditional Ikebana principles with mindfulness and creativity, inviting students to discover their own healing, inspiration, and self-expression through botanical design.
