iJOBS Site Visit: Department of Health

Come learn about jobs available to PhD scientists and tour the facilities at The NJ Public Health and Environmental Laboratories (PHEL). PHEL is comprised of five service areas: Public Health Laboratory Services, Environmental and Chemical Laboratory Services, Clinical Laboratory Improvement Services, Policy Planning and Regulatory Compliance, and Administrative/Financial Services. PHEL strives for quality in all areas of service to the residents of New Jersey through its programs of newborn screening, bio and chemical threat preparedness, ensuring water quality, identifying infectious disease outbreaks and other public health threats.

If you are a Rutgers student or postdoc and this is your first time registering for an iJOBS event, you are required to enter some personal information for the iJOBS database using the link below prior to the event date. After you have completed the information, we will contact your PI to inform him/her that you are participating in iJOBS Phase 1 activities. You may attend any event that you wish as soon as you register no need to wait for the email since it is simply to inform the PI

This process will only need to be completed ONCE for you to participate in all Phase 1 activities. Should you decide to apply for Phase 2, an application including a letter of intent by the trainees and a letter of support by the PI will be required.
