IHMC Science Saturday "Computer Game Design" @ 11AM - Grades 5 and 6
Join us for Science Saturday to learn about computer game design. We'll be doing fun hands-on activities!
Dear Parents and Teachers,
Good news!!! It’s time to sign up for February Science Saturday. This free, fun, hands-on STEM event takes place at IHMC, located at 15 SE Osceola Ave., on February 5. It is for students in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6. This Science Saturday will be led by Dr. Ian Perera of IHMC. He will lead us through hands-on activities to learn about computer game design. Please register students in grades 3 and 4 for 9 am, and students in grades 5 and 6 for 11 am. Both sessions will be age appropriate, so please be sure to register for the correct time.
The generosity of the season sponsors, Lockheed Martin, Ron and Phyllis Ewers, and Ocala Electric helps IHMC to offer Science Saturdays free of charge for all attendees.
If there are no tickets left when you register, please click on JOIN WAITLIST and follow the instructions. We will let you know no later than the Friday before if we can accommodate your child. It’s definitely worthwhile to join the list, as we usually get a number of cancellations during the last few days before each event. And… if you don’t get a ticket after joining the list, you can request priority registration for the next event. If you have any questions, please call the IHMC front desk at 352-387-3050.
In consideration of the pandemic, attendance at each session will be limited to 24 attendees. So please be aware that if your plans change, it will be more important than ever that you remember to cancel. If your child is sick, coughing, has a fever, or is otherwise not feeling well - for the safety of others, please keep your child at home. We plan to keep an active waiting list, so please *do* cancel, even if it is a last minute development that your child is feeling unwell.
We continue to exercise caution with respect to COVID-19. Hand sanitizer will be provided. Masks are encouraged. Parents will not be able to enter the building except in the event of an emergency, in order to limit the number of people in the room.
Science is super fun! We hope you’ll join us.
Best wishes,
