The Ignite Bootcamp program provides educational opportunities to those interested in a fire service career. We look to inspire, empower, and transform lives by offering diverse groups of individuals the tools and resources to further their pursuit and understanding of the fire service.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to attend both days of the bootcamp?

Yes. Participants are highly encouraged to complete both days to gain full experience and understanding of the program.

What if I have no previous fire service experience?

That's fine! This program is intended for those who are interested in a career in the fire service, but no previous experience is necessary.

Is this a physically strenuous program?

This is a very physically active bootcamp. Participants will be working out as a group, climbing ladders, lifting tools, etc., in a team atmosphere. The days are long, but the payoff is worth it!

Who are the instructors?

Instructors are members of surrounding fire departments: Boise, Nampa, Meridian, McCall, Idaho Falls, etc. Some volunteers are also past participants who have come back to help.
