Ignite – to set on fire; to kindle; to start a flame; to bring light to darkness. The very first command God gave to man’s knowledge is found in Genesis 1:3 – “let there be light!” God commanded light because of the darkness that hovered over the earth. Light drives out darkness and when light is focused – it first generates heat, a spark, and ultimately a flame begins.
God wants to do the same in the region of Birmingham, Alabama among His people – igniting a flame for revival, healing, deliverance, prophesy, miracles, signs and wonders. Ignite is a vision from God to awaken a 1 Corinthians 12 experience where all five-fold ministries are functioning effectively and too offering the opportunity for training. Fire is one of the first techniques that survivalist try to master in order to stay alive in a crisis. Our region is facing spiritual, social economical, financial, and domestic crisis’; has the flame in the church gone out? Our world needs light, therefore the Lord has called for Ignite – The Awakening of a Region.
