IFT Oregon Section Traceability Workshop

Supported by its Founding Sponsors, the Institute of Food Technologist's Global Food Traceability Center (GFTC) serves all aspects of the food system by generating knowledge that addresses research gaps, and delivering applied research, objective advice, and practical expertise about global food product traceability and data collaboration for private benefit and public good.

Learn how you can build traceability into your business processes with the help of food traceability experts in an interactive, one-day workshop designed for small to midsized companies.
This workshop will feature sessions that give a general overview of traceability, GFTC’s methodology for traceability implementation, interactive working sessions to enhance your traceability skills, and profiles from small to large companies on their traceability successes and lessons learned. You will learn how to take existing food safety and defense documentation and integrate it with your traceability system using GFTC’s methodology and concepts. The course will also teach you how to communicate the business side of traceability, making the case for strategic investments, and how traceability mitigates risk.

Special guests include Craft Brew Alliance, Truitt Family Foods, and the Global Food Traceability Center!
Registration includes course materials, certificate of attendance, and wireless internet access. Lunch on your own. Course materials are distributed electronically. Bringing your laptop or tablet is highly recommended.
