Identifying Trauma

The New England MHTTC's School Mental Health Initiative develops and disseminates evidence-based resources to enhance school culture and prepare the school mental health workforce to extend trauma-skilled practices. Our efforts are designed to help schools cultivate compassionate school communities that buffer against the negative effects of trauma, build resilience for all students, and provide stress-relief and enhanced well-being for teachers and other school personnel, as well as students.

<p>Join us for a discussion with <a href="https://jri.org/node/351" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dr. Hilary Hodgdon</a><a href="http://www.nuatc.org/yvette-jackson-ed-d/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a> - a practicing clinical psychologist, trainer and researcher specializing in the study and treatment of traumatic stress - focused on the science and tools designed to support school staff in identifying children at the greatest risk of experiencing significant trauma. <a href="http://www.edimprovement.org/our-team/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CEI's Executive Director Christine Mason, Ph.D.</a>, will lead this interview-style session. </p><p>The <a href="http://www.edimprovement.org/childhood-trauma-learning-collaborative/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Childhood-Trauma Learning Collaborative (C-TLC )</a>is being conducted as part of the <a href="https://mhttcnetwork.org/centers/new-england-mhttc/home" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">New England Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (New England MHTTC)</a>. The collaborative is designed to foster alliances to address the needs of children and youth who have experienced/are at risk of experiencing significant trauma.
