Learn the framework and tools to conduct customer research and validate customer needs and problems. 

Most startup ideas are about solutions(not about a problem). As an entrepreneur, you have this idea of developing a product or service that doesn&#x27;t exist yet or can improve the existing offerings. However, before you start building and selling your product or service, do you fully understand the customer&#x27;s needs or problems? Do you know if you&#x27;re solving the right problem for the right people? And is the problem big and urgent enough?In this workshop, we will provide a structured approach to help entrepreneurs evaluate their business ideas and distinguish those from real business opportunities. We will dive into the research process and strategies entrepreneurs can use to understand customer&#x27;s needs,  test assumptions and validate customer&#x27;s pain points. This is the 1st out of 8 workshops in the 2021 Queens StartUP Competition Program. This workshop is open to everyone. You do not need to be a StartUP participant to take this workshop. However, if you&#x27;re looking to participant in the 2021 StartUP program, you are required to take minimum four workshops in order to be qualified to compete and an opportunity to win 10,000 grant award. That includes the roller coaster of experiencing the joys of success and conquering the fears and overwhelm. She and her team work with leaders of fast-growing companies to create a foundation for exponential growth. As an author of two books, she focuses on neuroscience-based communication, leadership, culture, the customer experience and the dynamics of business partnerships. With 40 years’ experience in 40 industries, she’s seen a thing or two. While business is fun and addicting at times, it can always be better when balanced with a little prosecco, moderate amounts of dark chocolate and lots of dancing.
