What is this event about?

This event is our way of bringing the Institute of Design and design, design strategy, and creative leadership ideas to Japan. It is also an opportunity for Anijo and Maura to meet ID alumni in Japan. Anijo will describe his vision as we move into the fourth era of ID's history.

Who is this event for?

Accepted Answer

There are two parts to the event. Event A is a public-facing event, open to everyone. We invite you to bring as many people as you can to this event. The goal is to introduce ID's perspective on design to interested Japanese leaders and innovators. Event B is a private event, only for ID alumni.

Can I bring guests to the event?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Event A is public-facing and we encourage you to bring guests to that part of the event. Invite those in your network might be interested in learning about the initiatives and programs at ID, especially potential students and collaborators from your organizations.

What does ID hope to gain from this event?

Accepted Answer

Dean Anijo Mathew is keen on building global networks in innovative corporate and government systems in Asia. He believes the best way to achieve this is through ID's active alumni network. This is an opportunity for ID alumni to interact with current ID faculty and learn how to support ID.

What can I gain from this event?

Accepted Answer

Well, at least two things: 1) You can learn about new initiatives at ID and how ID has evolved since you graduated. 2) You can network with other ID alumni in Japan.

Is this a paid event?

Accepted Answer

No. The event is completely free for both the public and ID alumni. Anijo and Maura are keen to meet as many people as possible. So, please attend and share this event with all your friends and all the ID alumni you know.
