IAPMD Peer Support For PMDD/PME - Celeste's Group (LGBTQIA+ Community)

A regular, online support group for those living with PMDD and or PME hosted by IAPMD (International Association for Premenstrual Disorders). Sometimes nothing beats talking face to face to others who understand - that’s why we have video support groups so you can easily connect with others in a safe, moderated environment.

This group is run by Celeste:

"I think that the trans and LGBT community are an underrepresented group in terms of PMD experiences and I would love to create a space that welcomes individuals with these identity markers. In my experiences in the groups I’ve attended I have found it difficult being in a space where often PMDs are talked about and believed to be a “woman specific” experience. I’ve found myself wishing that I had a space where I could talk about how my experience is unique to my existence as a non-binary person.

Most of the peers who show up in these meetings have fundamentally different experiences from me as cis, heterosexual women. As a result I’ve often felt left out of discussion as a whole.

I decided to run an IAPMD video support group that is trans/gender-queer focused as well as LGBT oriented so that people who fall under these umbrellas can find community that reflects their experiences. I hope all attendees will work to create a space that emphasizes respecting pronouns and using inclusive terminology"

The sessions are led by trained IAPMD peer support facilitators who have lived experience of PMDD/PME and want to help make the path easier for others. Join us for a friendly welcome!
