Celebrate Women’s History Month by sharing your accomplishments with the Women in Tech Consortium community!

People can't tap you on the shoulder for help if they don't know what you are great at. And leaders are more likely to sponsor you in your career goals if you, and they, are clear on what you want. The #IamRemarkable workshop is part listening, sharing, and brainstorming. You will hear about the unique challenges different people face in the workplace and hopefully hear something that assures you that YOU ARE NOT ALONE in the struggle of self advocacy and grow your empathy for others who have had different experiences. Many of us struggle when it comes to talking about our own accomplishments. Cultural and gender modesty norms as well as impostor syndrome can prevent anyone from acknowledging their remarkable attributes and expressing their achievements.You will learn the importance of self-promotion in your personal and professional life and be equipped with tools to develop this skill. Participants will be invited to challenge the negative social perception around self-promotion.The goals of the workshop are to:<ol><li>Improve the self promotion motivation and skills of women and underrepresented groups</li><li>Challenge the social perception around self promotion</li></ol>This session will NOT be recorded and anything shared should stay within the virtual room to ensure a safe place where we can practice vulnerability and courage to get the most out of our time together. If you attend, you agree to follow the rules of confidentiality. Please show up on time so you can be a part of introductions.
