I Cantori di Carmel presents Opera under the Stars

We invite you to join us for our operatic spring concert showcasing soaring melodies, familiar tunes and stories of love, life, passion and, of course, drama. The legendary outdoor Forest Theater in Carmel is the perfect backdrop for the magic of opera. Guests can bring a picnic and bundle up under the stars while being transported to faraway places such as Sevilla in Bizet’s Carmen, the Scottish Highlands in Verdi’s Macbeth or Nagasaki in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly.

Think of it as a California version of Arena di Verona!

This open-air concert is perfect if you have not yet experienced the transformative power of opera. You will recognize many melodies that are part of pop culture and have been heard in Hollywood movies.

I Cantori is proud to collaborate with amazing players and opera singers, both local and from the greater Bay Area to share in the magic of opera. We are excited to showcase returning soloists and operatic power couple Sandra and Christopher Bengochea.

• Doors open at 6:30 pm.
• Please dress in layers and bring pillows and blankets to stay bundled up and cozy in case the fog rolls in.
• You are welcome to pack a picnic, drinks and snacks. We will also have a deliciously stocked concession stand with local wines and tasty bites.
• There is limited parking on the Theater grounds but please keep in mind you migth have to park and walk on nearby streets. Bring a flashlight!

The grazing box is filled to the brim with meat, cheese, fruit, and crackers, perfect to enjoy while listening to Rossini, Puccini, and Verdi.

The Chocolate Covered Strawberry Gift Box is filled with four large, local, chocolate covered strawberries for you to enjoy with a guest during the concert.
