Founded in 2022 by visual storyteller Kaci Merriwether-Hawkins, BGIAS (Black Girls In Art Spaces) has rapidly grown into a global community dedicated to creating inclusive spaces for Black women to experience and engage with art.

This partnership with Evoke Gallery, marks a momentous occasion in celebrating Black creativity and community in Chicago’s vibrant art scene.
