Hydronic System Design Wednesday, Mar 4 from 8 am to 4 pm

Seminar is from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. An on-site luncheon will be provided. There is no charge for the seminar or luncheon.

The Bell and Gossett Little Red Schoolhouse (LRSH) will be coming to Birmingham this March, hosted by JMP. Come learn about the fundamentals of hydronic system design and how to apply them into a working system. Below is an outline of what will be covered:


  • Heat Transfer for Coil & Heat Exchanger Selection & Performance
  • Flow Balance & Modulating Control for Hydronic HVAC Systems
  • Centrifugal Pump Fundamentals of Operation & Installation
  • Determination of Flow & Head for Proper Pump Selection
  • Two Pipe Direct & Reverse Return Distribution, Primary-Secondary
  • Variable Speed Pumping – Design and Control Basics
  • Parallel Pumping
  • Basic Air Management for Closed Loop Systems


The instructor will be Mike Licastro, Manager of Training and Education for Bell and Gossett. A certificate of attendance for six (6) Professional Development Hours will be provided.
