The Public Works Board is hosting two workshops to discuss rulemaking for the PWB Broadband program. This a hybrid event, ZOOM link below.

The Washington State Public Works Board (PWB) will hold two public stakeholder workshops in November and a public hearing session in December as part of the rulemaking process following statutory amendments signed into law during the legislative session of 2022. The purpose of these workshops is to identify and prioritize issues that stakeholders believe should be addressed as a result of these changes, and to provide implementation guidance. Potential topics for rulemaking include but are not limited to considerations relating to:

• the addition of a preapplication process;

• modifications to the objection process; and

• the establishment of an emergency broadband program.
