This is a hybrid NFPA Fire Instructor 1 course presented by DPSST. Once students have registered, they will need to email Rick Cooper at Rick.Cooper@dpsst.oregon.gov to be enrolled into this course through Resource One. Students will complete all modules with quizzes and tests. Prior to the in person portion of the course, students must have 80% or higher on all tests and complete all course work. The 2-day in person class will be full of activities and review of course materials. This course offers the knowledge to be an outstanding instructor and presenter. This class is best for people that want to pass on the knowledge and love they have for the Fire Service to others. This course is a pre-requisite course to obtaining your Live Fire Instructor certification.

• Dress for the class is business casual or Class B uniform.

• Students will have a task book initiated but will not be completely signed off.

• Class will be held 9am to 5pm with a 1 hour lunch both days.

• Students must be affiliated with an Oregon Fire Department.

** If there is not (12) indiviudals for this class it could be canceled.
