About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

In March 2024, changes to Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) law were delayed until 2027. The changes would have expanded MAiD eligibility so that people whose only medical condition is mental illness could apply.

With this delay, many people may be asking: what now? Join a panel of experts as they explore what this means for people with lived experience of mental illness, and their families and loved ones, and discuss questions from the audience.

This hybrid event is taking place as part of Patient and Family Experience Week at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

Refreshments will be provided for people attending in-person.

Support and a dedicated quiet space will also be available for anyone attending in-person.
