About this event

Some changes this year so please read the following information.

This is your registration page to camp in Hushville in 2024. Please fill out the information accurately and only ONE person per ticket please and all campers MUST be registered by name. Please note this ticket does NOT give you access to Burning Man you require a formal paid ticket (and vehicle pass if necessary) to attend.

For 2024 every camper must register as part of an existing Theme Camp within our village(you will need prior approval from the Theme Camp lead to join) or as part of one of our new collective camps. If regestering in one of our collective camps you are not required to camp as a group but do need to idenify as being part of the group. These camps are....

Servants of the Hat......for all people doing shifts for one of the BRC departments

Bucket of Birgins..........for all first time burners who are not in an existing Theme Camp.

Wanderers, Beggars and Thieves........for all other campers

Please be accurate in which camp you join.

We don't require you put in your home address on the ticket order but we would appreciate if you put down the town/city you live in so we can get an idea where all you lovely folks are coming from especially if you have people who will stop at our check-in and ask if your here...we use your playa name and home city to identify you.

VEHICLE DRIVERS PRINT YOUR TICKET AND BRING IT WITH YOU TO THE EVENT AND KEEP IT ON YOUR DASH SO WE MAY IDENTIFY YOUR VEHICLE AS BEING REGISTERED TO BE IN HUSHVILLE. Other registered campers do not need to print and bring your ticket we will check you in by name on arrival.

Interactivity is a huge part of Burning Man, all Theme Camps within our village will be required to host or participate in an event and individual campers in either the Bucket of Birgins or Wanderders,Beggars and Thieves camps are strongly encouraged to become involved in setting up, helping with or running events (your acceptance to camp with Hushville in future years may depend on this) you may contact our events team at events(at)hushville.org to find out how to get involved. Our placement from the ORG depends on this so if you wish Hushville to continue to exist in future years please participate. Those who are part of the Servants of the Hat group, your interactivity is covered by you volunteering. Thank you for your efforts to help run BRC.

FAQs

What can/can't I bring to the event?

No amplified music/sound

No generators

Bring smiles, Bring happiness, Bring fun and bring everything you need to survive for your stay on the playa and remember to read your survival guide.....its got lots of good poop on what to expect if you've not been here before.

Is there a Camp Fee to join Hushville

Hushville does not charge a fee to camp with us as we provide no communal infrastructure(kitchen, water, etc) other than a 'Poppers Place at Town Round" shade structure and "Magic Martys" our streetside event space for your use. We do expect you to help with tasks around the village and from time to time we do ask for donations to cover the costs of some new infrastructure etc so bring a few dollars and please donate if we put out a call during the event for donations.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event

Hushville is an adult oriented village with adult oriented activities, While we are happy to have you bring your kids if you have young children we suggest you check out Kidsville as an option as well.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

If you are the driver YES please bring your printed ticket to the event and place it on your dash so we know your vehicle is supposed to be in Hushville. Non drivers aren't required to bring your ticket we will have your name on our registration list.

Can I register more than one person?

yes you can, if you are a camp lead you may register all your campers if you wish just remember that EVERY person needs to be registered so you can either do them all or tell each person to do their own.

What happens if Hushville is full when I arrive

If you are registered with us we guarantee you that we will have space for you up until Tuesday night of burn week, after that we will do our best to place you but we cannot guarantee there will be space available. Thats why its important to let us know what day your arriving

What if I want to provide a service I am paid for?

Absolutely not. HUSHVILLE is governed by the rules set out by Placement which includes no commercial activity. If you are found to be doing this you will unfortunately be asked to leave our village.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

look at the bottom of this page and click on the little 'contact' thingy......our registration minion will get back to you

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

no your registration is not transferable,to camp in Hushville we must have your name on our list at checkin

Can I update my registration information?

You bet

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

thats bad karma, so thats why we allow you to edit your registration when you remember what your name actually is.

What if a few of us are camping together how do they find us when they arrive?

Best option is to give yourselves a "Theme Camp Name" then when you register everyone puts that name in the Theme Camp box....that way we can group you so when one of your camp mates who got lost coming to Burning Man arrives they can find you. AND while your all at it since you now have a Theme Camp Name why don't you think of a theme and get into the spirit of our little village.

Are there events happening in Hushville?

you bet there are....Before the event check our 'events calendar' on our Hushville.org website and if you want to host an event follow the instructions there as to how to get it on our calendar. Once on playa.please check the notice board at Poppers place (Town Round) for whats happening, and if you want to put on an event in Hushville that you didn't get on our calendar post it there as well. Our events team will be glad to answer any questions you may contact them at 'events (at) hushville.org'
