Humanizing Communication

Born to be Seen

Humanizing communication can help us stay connected and repair connections with family, friends, and in our professional lives. (Live Zoom)

It's that time of year when the days are growing darker and we count down towards the new year. This is also the time where we might find ourselves reflecting back and thinking of changes we might want to make and implement for the new year. This is also the time where some of us find ourselves in social settings with close ones and the potential for difficult conversations to arise. This workshop will help equip you with skills and tips to enter into those spaces and the new year confidently! This is my first workshop out of my project Born to be Seen. Sign up to take advatange of this limited intro offer to get gain some skills, connect with me, and a sneak peak into what I will be offering in 2023!What is Humanizing Communication?I like to think of any practice that involves actively trying to humanize a situation as one where we actively choose connection. This workshop is designed to build skills in choosing connection in various situations even when it might be hard. This is a skill I've built in my own life, professional and personal, that has helped me in feeling more heard and seen. Why is now a good time to build these skills? There are two of the reasons I thought this workshop would be timely, the holidays and the end of the year. As we know the holidays are a time when people get together to celebrate all the various holidays. Sometimes this involves seeing relatives, friends, and others who we might normally interact with regularly. For some this means tense interactions or conversations when certain topics come up which often can leave us feeling unheard and unseen. This is also the time that we reflect back on how our year has gone and start implementing changes whether that is professional or personal. I wanted to create a workshop to equip others with the skills that have helped me so much this past year. A little more about me..Hi! I’m Carol! I like to call myself a ✨ self-celebration practitioner ✨ . The Journey here has not been an easy one, but definitely rich and rewarding. Building an emotional wellness practice of self celebration, love, and compassion has helped me shine in even more so in my own authenticity and joy! How did I get here? Well for me it started in my days as a classroom science teacher. I taught for 7 years and in that time learned a lot about interpersonal communication and relationshop building. Not just from my students, but from my teacher community as well. This is where I learned the value of responsiveness and effective communication especially in times of high stress and tension! This experience is what put me the journey to become a more emotionally and culturally responsive person. This practice have been transformative for me in my personal and professional life and I hope it will do the same for you!
