Overview

A community-building evening of training and craftivism

Coming together as a community has never been so important; please join us for this empowering evening of training and crafting.

Doors to Host will open at 7pm;

From around 7.30pm Waltham Forest Anti-Raid Network (WARN) will provide "know your rights" training for if/when you are subject to or witness to an immigration raid. WARN do brilliant work; they advocate for documenting and resisting raids through legal support and community presence. This training is really useful in Waltham Forest in which individuals and businesses experience raids regularly.

From 8.30pm, Tara from Make It Do It and Bronwyn from Idle Hands will lead a craft session creating patches using a mixture of surface design techniques that will help us created wearable pieces of resistance against fascism and celebrate our solidarity with other causes too.

What you need to know:

  • Tickets to this event are FREE but you must book your place via the Eventbrite link as the venue has limited capacity. Please only book a place if you are fully intending on coming
  • The crafting session is optional- we understand that people may have commitments meaning they need to leave after the WARN training. All materials and teaching will be provided- no experience necessary!
