Human Variance & Assessment for Learning

On Friday, November 1st, 2019, education scholars and practitioners will meet at Teachers College, Columbia University for a discussion about Human Variance and Learning for Assessment. Co-hosted by the Institute for Urban and Minority Education, the National Urban League, the National Science Foundation, and the CEJJES Institute, the conference will explore topics such as: -Human Diversity and Assessment -Assessment in the Service of Learning -Modes of Assessment for STEM Learning in Diverse Education Environments -The Limits of Test Bias and Its Corrections -Using Information from Assessments to Educate as well as Measure
The conference will also feature a film screening and a keynote luncheon. Registration opens at 8:30am. The conference begins at 9:00am and will conclude at 5:30pm. Please pre-register via eventbrite at your earliest convenience.
