Human Trafficking Presentation and Panel

The Hanover CASA Program advocates for the best interests of children involved in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court process. The CASA Program trains and supervises volunteers who gather information that is shared with the court when making decisions about the needs of abused and neglected children, or other children involved in juvenile dependency cases. The CASA Program promotes safe, permanent homes for all children and seeks to educate the community concerning the needs of abused and neglected children.

Hanover Court Appointed Special Advocate Program

In recognition of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Hanover Court Appointed Special Advocate Program is hosting an awareness and resources event centered on human trafficking.This event features guest speaker presentations from Special Agent Melvin Gonzalez of the FBI, Jen Miller of Safe Harbor, and Mary Hampton Cook of Gray Haven. Participants can expect to learn up-to-date information about the business of human exploitation, understand myths surrounding victims of trafficking, and receive local resources for referrals.
