OVERVIEW

Humans are social beings, designed to thrive through our connections with each other: emotionally, physically, intellectually, spiritually. We are not built to go it alone! So why do we often get mired down in our differences and allow those differences to keep us separate, preventing ourselves and each other from being our best selves? Join this exploration of self while engaging with others. Each interactive two hour workshop has it’s own theme with invitations to acknowledge our shared strengths through our shared vulnerabilities.

Do you wish that your conversations with yourself and interactions with others filled up your emotional “gas tank"? That they had a more nurturing feel to them? That they resulted in feeling deep human connections? In this swirling world in which we live in, it can be challenging to find that place of balance, that place of calm and ease. Finding our way to our own peace is key to creating satisfying engagement with others. It is healthy for our bodies, minds, and emotional well-being, and it’s contagious!

Revel in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment to practice tapping into your true self, deepen connections with others, and strengthen our common humanity.

Mediator, group leader, trainer, facilitator, Lydia has been leading groups of humans for over a decade in finding their voice and building their connections with others. She brings teachings from her experience as a social worker, yoga practitioner, massage therapist, and personal growth workshop attendee, mixed in with her sense of humor and compassion. Lydia's core beliefs include:

  • We humans are more alike than we are different (although sometimes it takes a lot of digging to find those commonalities).
  • “Othering” is one of the most destructive forces on our planet (including when we “other” ourselves).
  • Each of us is genuinely doing the best we can in any given moment (even when what we are doing doesn’t meet others’ needs, somewhere in there it is meeting a need we ourself have).
