HudsonAlpha U: Wiregrass - Genomics 101

Join us on Monday, June 18th, at 10:00 AM, at the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce for HudsonAlpha U: Wiregrass and learn more about DNA and the field of genomics.

At Genomics 101, you will extract DNA from a strawberry or other fruit, and hear stories of how genomic discoveries are being made and applied to improve life. The event will be led by Kelly East, HudsonAlpha’s Vice President for Educational Outreach.

“HudsonAlpha U” is the new name and brand for HudsonAlpha public education programs and resources. Cultivating genomic literacy is a strategic goal of both HudsonAlpha and the HudsonAlpha Educational Outreach team. HudsonAlpha U will help citizens understand genomics concepts in an engaging way; as well as bring new discoveries and biotechnology applications to life through in-person events and online resources.
