Hudson Valley Open

Joe Rodriguez is President and Head Coach of Cuppa Joe Weightlifting and has over 25 years of experience in Olympic Weightlifting. He has served as the Hudson Valley Chair / Head Coach for the Empire State Games  and is an Olympic Weightlifting International Referee Category 2.  Joe has extensive experience assisting and organizing events from the local to the international level.

<LI>A USAW sanctioned meet and official qualifier for all national events.</LI>

The Hudson Valley Open is a USAW sanctioned weightlifting competition in historic Southern Dutchess County. This event is open to youth, junior, senior, and master ages, and novice lifters.  There are no refunds, so please be sure you can attend.
This event is free for spectators. Please come and cheer on your friends, family, and peers. The preliminary schedule will be published closer to the event date based upon registrations:
Clothing: A weightlifting singlet is mandatory, as per USAW/IWF rules. Refund Policy: There are no refunds or transfers allowed for this event. *Previously registered entries for original date will be honored.
A valid USA Weightlifting membership is required to compete in this meet regardless of whether you’re competing in the Novice or Open category. You will need to present a digital or paper copy of your USAW card at the competition at weigh in.
