HTML/CSS Coding Specialist
This course introduces students to front-end web development through hands-on instruction in HTML5 and CSS3. Students learn how to structure web pages using semantic HTML and apply professional styling using modern CSS techniques.
The course emphasizes standards-based coding, responsive design, and industry best practices. Students build real-world projects such as multi-page websites, layouts, and digital portfolios while learning how to troubleshoot code and follow proper development workflows.
Upon completion, students will be prepared for the HTML/CSS Coding Specialist certification and will have a strong foundation for advanced web development, JavaScript programming, or web design careers.
Key topics include:
- HTML5 document structure and semantics
- Text, images, links, lists, and forms
- CSS selectors, properties, and box model
- Layout techniques (flexbox, floats, positioning)
- Responsive design principles
- Web accessibility and usability
- Debugging and validation
