With the announcement of the HTA review in Australia, it is timely to consider recent innovations in Health Technology Assessment (HTA) methodology. This workshop will showcase several HTA innovations such as the expanded QALY measure and use of real world evidence. The day will finish with a panel session discussing policy implications.Confirmed speakers include <ul><li>Dr. Tessa Peasgood (Senior Lecturer In Health Economics at Melbourne School of Population and Global Health);</li><li>Prof. Martin Hoyle (Professor of Health Innovation and Evaluation at Macquarie University); and </li><li>Prof. Andrew Wilson (Chair of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee</li></ul>In addition to Professor Andrew Wilson, Professor Martin Hoyle and Dr Tessa Peasgood, the line up will include Professor David Henry, Professor Sallie Pearson and Dr Scott McAlister covering topics including:- Turning RWE from a buzzword into a real tool for HTA- The real world effectiveness of vaccines- Incorporating sustainability into HTAA second panel session with showcase three talented modellers including A/Prof Bonny Parkinson, A/Prof Lili Bulfone and Mrs Emma Warren.
