A series of workshops geared toward those with an interest in Newburgh's history and working directly with historic documents.

<p>This workshop will provide an introduction to the original diaries maintained at the Newburgh Historical Society, with a focused study and discussion of one of the oldest in our archive, the 1791 Moses DeWitt journal. Those who register will receive a transcription of this journal for discussion along with a facsimile of some of the original pages for closer study. We will survey some problems and possibilities encountered when using personal journals as historical records.
