Howard County Livestock Sale- Aug 9th

4-Her's will be selling their animals at the Howard County Livestock Sale. At the sale there will be information for add-on donations to direct donors here.

Donations Close- Aug 12th

4-Her's Notified of Donations- Approximately Aug 17th

4-Hers will receive an email letting them know who donated an add-on to them.

About this event

The Howard County 4-H Livestock Sale Committee is a nonprofit extension of the University of Maryland Howard County 4-H Program. The Committee has been coordinating and conducting the sale of high-quality animals at the Howard County Fair since 1963. Our goal is to help youth promote their market ready livestock projects that they raised and exhibited at the Howard County Fair. Our Committee Members strive to ensure buyers, donors, and 4-Hers have the best experience possible with us and we appreciate your continued support of youth in our community.

Frequently asked questions

Who can I donate to?

Each Howard County 4-Her who has entered an animal that was eligible to sell at the Howard County Livestock Sale (Broilers, Meat Rabbits, Market Turkeys, Swine, Sheep, Steers, Goats) has a donation ticket under their name.

Can I donate to more then one 4-Her?

YES! You can donate to as many 4-Hers that you would like on ONE order. Just enter the amount next to the 4-Hers ticket you would like to donate to.

Can I donate to the sale to help support 4-Hers in future sales?

YES! If you would like to donate to the Howard County Livestock Sale to help support 4-Hers in future years select the first ticket option.

Will the 4-Her know I donated to them?

YES! Along with the thank you confirmation email you will receive from Eventbrite with your donation receipt you will receive a thank you note from the 4-Her . This personalized letter may be delayed in receiving it since the 4-Her will not be informed of your donation till after August 17th.

Can I make a donation Sale Night?

YES! There will be links/QR codes at the check-in and check-out tables to allow supporters to donate. There will also be Sale Committee Members at both tables to help answer any questions about the donations.

Can I donate after Aug 12th?

Unfortunately NO. The donation window will close at 12:01 AM on August 13th.
