About this event

  • 1 hour

Five Oaks Museum uses Guest Curators for all major exhibitions so that content is coming from within the descendant communities being represented. Once an exhibition is complete the museum team, often working with the guest curators or other culture keepers or educators close to that exhibition's content, create learning resources that translate the exhibition content into worksheets, learning guides, virtual and in-class presentations and more. Often the format that these resources take is informed directly by educators and other stakeholders who will be accessing them.

Codirector Molly Alloy will share some of the workflow around this process, lessons learned so far, and lessons still being learned.

This virtual presentation will include approximately 20 minutes of slideshow and sharing from Molly, followed by 30 minutes dedicated to direct conversation with attendees to answer questions and share reflections, dilemmas, and hopes from your own work and learning.
