Learn how to craft a strong artist statement with gallery professionals Ali Wunder and Haven Ashley.

Nothing tells the story of your art better than the art itself. But your website, CV, and countless applications all require that you to translate your visual statements into words and make a powerful first impression — sometimes even before the reader looks at your art. Join The Art League&#x27;s Gallery Director Ali Wunder for a two-session workshop tackling this difficult, but essential topic. Gain the tools to construct a clear, concise statement that provides viewers with insight into your work, and serves as a starting point for marketing yourself as an artist.Session One will focus on the mechanics of writing a statement. Session Two is dedicated to peer editing and constructive criticism to help refine your statement and get it submission-ready!In-person Safety Protocols for those attending or thinking of attending:The Gallery practices a strict mask policy. Instructors and attendees will be required to be masked the entire duration of the workshop. We will also take the temperatures of all participants at the door before they are permitted to enter. The workshop is limited to eight attendees and they will be seated in a socially distant manner (over 6ft apart) in our 2,300 sq ft gallery. In addition, we have rigorous cleaning protocols, open windows, and two <a href="https://atlanticwaterandair.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">RainSoft Airmaster DFS room air purifier</a><a href="https://atlanticwaterandair.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">s</a> that use a patented air cleaning system that is designed to be 99.99% efficient in capturing air particles at .3 micron size or larger-that is 4x the particle capture of a similar-sized HEPA unit. AirMaster DFS is also effective at destroying microorganisms including viruses. Clinical tests have verified microorganism destruction of 94% or higher.
