We all have opinions about the return of sea eagles, pine martens, beavers, wild boar, and even the potential reintroduction of lynx.
But let’s be honest, five minutes on social media will tell you that conversations around nature’s recovery are dominated by polarised opinions, tribal drum-banging and misinformation.
So, how much wild is enough?
Against a backdrop of stunning imagery, video and sound, Peter Cairns explores our complex relationship with wild nature, unpacking the forces that shape how we see, talk about and live alongside the wildlife that shares our landscapes.
About the presenter
For three decades, I’ve been committed to building connections between people and wild nature – as a conservation photographer and filmmaker, writer and speaker, and now podcaster. Much of my time has been spent in the places where people and wildlife meet – and often collide.
What I've come to understand is this: the future for nature depends less on science and policy, and more on how we think and feel about the landscapes around us and the species that share our space.
