About this event

  • 2 hours 30 minutes

Join us in Aberdeen, Scotland, for the Society for Low Carbon Technologies’ (SFLCT) inaugural UK panel session that includes Expro, Mocean Energy, Verlume, and the Net Zero Technology Centre. This event is free of charge and entry tickets are limited.

Moreover, the panelists, composed of industry experts, will delve into the Carbon Capture Storage (CCS) and Ocean Power projects and initiatives in which their organizations are actively engaged.

Given that CCS and Ocean Power have risen to prominence as energy transition technologies for achieving net zero, now is the time to explore the challenges and opportunities of these technologies, and their intersectionality. The panelists, along with the SFLCT’s Vice Chair, will comprehensively discuss the following:

• How their organizations are approaching CCS and Ocean Power projects.

• The challenges and opportunities for CCS and Ocean Power projects for this decade.

• How these disciplines intertwine for each organization.

• How CCS and Ocean Power can be co-located to operate in tandem at a single site.

• Key factors to consider for such initiatives that include said disciplines.

• The operational complexities of each discipline, and how they positively intersect.

• The low-carbon supply chain required for CCS and Ocean Power.

***A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to an Aberdeen-based non-profit organization.
