About this event

  • 1 hour

Predatory lending refers to unethical practices by lenders that take advantage of borrowers. This often involves misleading tactics to convince borrowers to agree to unfair loan terms, which can lead to financial harm (high interest rates, hidden fees, prepayment penalties, and loans with terms that the borrower cannot realistically afford etc).

Both payday loans and title loans are considered high-risk forms of borrowing due to their high costs and potential for trapping borrowers in cycles of debt.

This seminar will be hosted by financial experts from First Horizon Bank who will help you become more aware of the tactics used by predatory lenders, making you more prepared to recognize and avoid predatory lending!
