Household Electronics Takeback Event

The City of Ann Arbor, in collaboration with Comprenew and Ann Arbor Public Schools, is hosting a free household electronics takeback event!

Pioneer High School

On behalf of the City of Ann Arbor Office of Sustainability and Innovations, thank you for your interest in attending our Household Electronics Takeback Event on Saturday, October 19th at Pioneer High School. Registration for this event is required, so please register if you would like to participate! To ensure that as many people as possible can participate, there is a limit of one ticket per household. If you have any questions, please contact Sustainability Coordinator Will Garcia at wgarcia@a2gov.org or 734.794.6000 ext. 43741. Specific parking and traffic information will be provided to registered attendees prior to the event. Please show up no earlier than 5 minutes before your time slot to ensure that our line stays manageable and safe. Residents of Ann Arbor, including students, are eligible to participate in this event. Businesses, organizations, and institutions are not eligible to attend. The following items are FREE for attendees to bring to the event:<ul><li>Dekstop and Laptop Computers</li><li>Tablets and eReaders</li><li>Phones (landline and cellular)</li><li>Keyboards and mice</li><li>Cords/cables/wires</li><li>Networking equipment</li><li>One home printer/copier/scanner (small inkjet and laser up to 35 lb)</li><li>One television or monitor up to 60 lb (approximately the size of a 60" flat screen TV or a 20" tube TV/monitor) Comprenew, our electronics waste refurbisher and recycler, will accept the following items for an additional charge. Please bring a debit or credit card if you will be bringing these items. </li><li>Additional and oversized televisions and monitors</li><li>Additional and oversized printers/copiers/scanners</li><li>Audio/visual equipment</li><li>UPS power supplies</li></ul> Hazardous chemicals and other household hazardous waste will not be accepted at this event. Please visit https://www.washtenaw.org/287/Household-Hazardous-Waste-Disposal to make an appointment to dispose of any hazardous chemicals.
