Description

Peroni Nastro Azzurro is proud to present the all-new House of Peroni experience:

This year, the annual multi-city event that brings style to the world of beer, partners with non-profit organization Art Production Fund as curator. The experience will celebrate a dynamic mix of forward-thinking artists and creatives across NYC, LA, Miami and DC.

Immerse yourself in an interactive installation from renowned artist and architectural designer, Jenny Sabin and her practice, Jenny Sabin Studio. Winner of the 2017 Museum of Modern Art’s PS1 Young Architects Program, her creation for House of Peroni, titled LUSTER, explores new paths for innovative architecture that seeks to be mindful, socially engaging and ever changing.

The adaptive piece employs textiles, photoluminescent materials, and solar fibers that absorb, collect, and deliver light for an environmentally responsive structure. The knitted canopy filters light to cast dynamic shadows on the floor, immersing visitors in a range of radiant light that changes throughout the night and day. LUSTER is a full-service bar, designed with a transformative, lightweight canopy structure. Complete with a lounge, high-top tables and seating, it is both a futuristic artwork and fully operational space for people to interact and engage with the installation while enjoying a Peroni.

The House will also feature Glass Garden Lost & Found: Of Healing & Knowledge by Maayan Zilberman of Sweet Saba. Inspired by the Orto Botanico di Padova, the world’s oldest academic botanical garden in Padua, Italy (est. 1545), this work picks from its collection of flora, presenting them either living or hand-carved from sugar.

Representing the original purpose of the Botanical Garden, and where legend has it the Medici's concocted medicines and potions, artist Maayan Zilberman offers guests a chance to exchange a Roman Chamomile blossom, representing a manifestation of communal healing and growth, for a gold-infused oleander-inspired edible piece, symbolizing the darker side of the Garden: knowledge and awakening, a polar opposite. Maayan offers each guest a chance to become one with the theme of the exhibition, exchanging a piece of organic material with an edible piece. Each participant helps the edible and floral installation come to life. Each day the artist will invite guests to take part in this trade at Glass Garden Lost & Found between 1 - 3:30PM, the hours we are most alert according to the Circadian Rhythm.

There will be a limited number of items available for takeaway daily.
