Parking is limited, we highly encourage carpooling. If you plan to drive or use rideshare options, use the Burnham Park (1199 E Oakwood Blvd) parking lot ($6). The site is 0.2 miles south. Parking is also available on E Bowen Ave. & E 41st Place, on the west side of the 41st Pedestrian Bridge.

We invite you to bring blankets, a yoga mat, a water bottle, and any plant material you wish to offer during the weaving ritual. We also invite you to bring a folding chair if you need to raised seating; there will be a limited number of chairs available.

Accessibility Information

This event takes place at an outdoor venue on uneven natural terrain. There is a paved path from the Burnham Park parking lot that leads to the site. Once off the path, there is about 50 feet of grass to navigate to arrive at the ceremony. There are accessible bathrooms 0.2 miles south of the site.

Public Transportation

The CTA Bus, 4 Cottage Grove, serves this beach. The 4 stops at Cottage Grove & Pershing, about a 0.5 mile from the event site. Navigate to "Burnham Park" to receive accurate public transportation information.
