Horses 101: The Basics

This is a hands-on workshop for those wanting to learn more about horses. We will have examples of different equipment (tack), types of feed, and grooming tools. We will cover safe handling skills and "things you need to know" if buying or adopting your first horse. Handouts will be provided. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

This workshop is rain or shine - we will be in an indoor arena out of the sun, but please plan for the weather and dress accordingly. Boots or closed-toe shoes are required as those who wish will have the chance to groom and lead a horse.
