Join us for an unforgettable evening of fun and philanthropy at the Hooves & Hops Fundraiser Pub Crawl, benefiting a noble cause: horse rescue. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Coeur d'Alene, this event combines two beloved pastimes - supporting our four-legged friends and enjoying a lively pub crawl through some of the city's best establishments. Gather your friends and fellow animal lovers as we trot from one venue to the next, raising awareness and funds to provide sanctuary, care, and rehabilitation for horses in need. With each pint raised and hoofprint left behind, we're making a tangible difference in the lives of these majestic creatures. So saddle up and join us for an evening of camaraderie, community, and compassion as we come together to support a cause close to our hearts.

In August 2023, our journey began with a simple yet profound mission: to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome horses in need. Led by our dedicated executive director, Ximena Alyssa, whose passion for equines has been a lifelong commitment, we embarked on a path guided by compassion and expertise. Drawing from years of experience training horses, including a recent tenure at an endurance saddlebred barn and with private clients, we recognized the need for a different approach—one that prioritizes the well-being of our four-legged friends over traditional timelines and methods. Our nonprofit, officially recognized as a registered 501(c)3 in December of the same year, operates on the principle that every horse deserves a chance at a fulfilling life. Too often, these majestic creatures find themselves discarded, their potential overshadowed by the challenges they face. We step in where others falter, offering a lifeline to horses on the brink of uncertainty. Through our volunteer-driven efforts, fueled by the generosity of donors and supporters like you, we provide sanctuary, training, and ongoing support to horses in transition. With every stride we take, we're not just rescuing horses—we're rewriting their stories, ensuring they find loving homes where they can thrive. Join us in our mission to make a difference, one hoofbeat at a time. Together, we can save more lives and create brighter futures for these magnificent animals.

Frequently asked questions

What is my ticket cost spent on?

Donations for horse rescue provide vital support for medical care, shelter, feed, and rehabilitation efforts. They ensure these majestic creatures receive the love and care they need to thrive. 100% of the proceeds go to the rescue.

Is the pub crawl suitable for all ages?

The Hooves & Hops Pub Crawl is strictly for participants aged 21 and over. Valid photo identification will be required to verify age at check-in.

Transportation between venues is not provided as part of the pub crawl. We recommend arranging for a designated driver, rideshare service, or taxi to ensure a safe journey home.

How can I get involved if I can't attend the pub crawl?

If you're unable to join us for the pub crawl, you can still show your support by making a donation through our official event page, making a donation, or spreading the word about our cause on social media.

Will there be food?

There are several places that offer food. An itinerary will be sent with menus. We recommend making sure you have food in your stomach when drinking.

Can I bring my horse to the pub crawl?

While we are always excited to see pets, this is not the appropriate time to bring them. Please leave pets at home (equine, canine, etc) to ensure you have entry to the establishments.
