HOMM Family Camp – July 19-21, 2024

Thank you for choosing to attend our Family Camp this year! May you make new friends, have lots of fun, create many treasured memories, and experience more of God’s presence in your life. If you can’t come for the entire time, come for whatever part you can attend.
Helpful items for you to bring with you include lawn chairs, ice chests, bedding, and games you like to play. Are you planning to camp one or two nights? Plenty of room for your tent or RV. Bring electric cord and water hose connections as needed. Inside bathroom and laundry are available. We will provide the main course for all meals, but if you could bring salads, fruit and what you like to drink (water is provided), that will help.
The property is safe with a strong fence all around the 10 acres. Children can safely run free. There is a shallow creek to play in. Bring clothes children can get muddy in. There are 5 acres of trees so you can hike on trails. There are many swings; trampoline; large slides; explore the creek; corn hole, relaxing; pick berries, farm animals to feed and pet; 2 acres of grass; climbing net; fire pole; deck between trees to play on. Other things available include archery, badminton, frisbee, campfire circle to sing or roast marshmallows, chickens, pigs, horse, dogs. Call John at 503-807-6226 if you would like to bring your pet.
Schedule: our theme this year is Living in Peace.
Friday. Arrive as early as noon. Set up your tent or park your RV. Meet friends or make new friends.
Friday 6PM. Supper is provided. Orientation.
Session 1: Defeating disruptions to peace.
Saturday 8AM. Breakfast is provided.
Session 2: Being a peacemaker.
Saturday 12:30PM. Eat on your own, whenever you are ready.
Afternoon. Free, or Scavenger Hunt. (One for adults, another for children.)
Saturday 6:00PM. Supper.
Talent/No Talent night. (Yes, you can prepare for this.)
Sunday 8:00AM. Breakfast.
Session 3: prepare to share something God is teaching you, similar to our workshop Urch time. A message will be given about God’s peace. Know that God loves to interrupt with His agenda.
Pray for Him to work His signs, wonders and miracles! Remember, prayer is where our battles
are won. What we do simply reaps the results of those prayers.
Sunday 12:30AM. Lunch. Leftovers.
Afternoon. Tear down, “I Will Never Be the Same Again!” (Yes, we’ll sing it.) Recap, clean up,
goodbyes.
We will be having a yard work-party on Thursday, July 18 from 10 to 3. Lunch will be provided.
Tools are available, but you may bring yours if you wish. Let John know if you can come to
help. That way he will know how much food to prepare. (Again, his phone number is 503-807-6226.) Thank you very much for your help!!
