Overview: This course aims to provide a useful introduction to homelessness. It will explore the reasons behind homelessness, both at a systemic and personal level. It will also examine the various ways the sector supports people experiencing homelessness, while also looking at the prevalent challenges and hurdles. By the end, delegates will have a deeper understanding of the homelessness landscape and the efforts being made to address it.

It is suitable for managers, frontline staff and volunteers who are new to the sector
What will your team learn?
Through this course, your team will:
- Understand the causes and pathways to homelessness
- Define and recognise the various manifestations of homelessness, including its diverse forms and contexts
- Learn about the key aspects of government policy aimed at ending homelessness
- Understand the roles and obligations of local authorities in addressing homelessness
- Identify the current challenges hindering efforts to end and prevent homelessness
- Be able to outline the personal steps that you can take to deliver services or campaign for change.

- Each attendee will get a ‘Certificate of Attendance’ once the feedback form is completed following the event.
