Homegrown Initiative invites all southern belles and gents to join us for our second annual Kentucky Derby Party!

Come ready to eat, drink and bet merrily at Homegrown’s Run for the Roses at the exquisite Buhl Mansion on Saturday May 4, 2024 at 4pm! Complete event details can be found in our agenda. If you missed it last year, don't make the same mistake twice!

Homegrown Initiative was established February 2022 and is focused on changing the narrative in Mercer County through the four quadrants of Live, Learn, Work and Play. All proceeds raised from this event will be used to proliferate our mission of youth development, young adult retention, and community growth. Since our formation in 2022, Homegrown Initiative has placed over 100 young adults in careers, connected with thousands of Mercer Country students on local career awareness, and created a calendar of networking and social events connecting talented young adults in the area while showcasing all of the incredible things Mercer County has to offer.
