This in-person event is a celebration of all things jazz and go-go music, where talented artists from various jazz and go-go will take the stage to rock your world.

The Home Rule Music Festival is produced by the Home Rule Music and Film Preservation Foundation, a non-profit arts and edcation organization with a mission to promote, support and preserve DC music and film through performance, education and advocacy, and co-produced by CapitalBop, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting, presenting and preserving jazz and Black music in DC.

How do I get there, and where do I park?

There is limited onsite parking available for all of our events. We strongly encourage the use of public transportation; all our venues are metro and bus accessible.

What if there is inclement weather?

This event will happen rain or shine. We suggest bringing an umbrella and other appropriate gear in case of rain.

Can I bring...?

Alcoholic beverages? NO - Food? Yes, but we’ll have lots of great food trucks onsite. - My pet? NO - A blanket or other picnic supplies? YES - A chair? YES - Cigarettes, vapes, pipes? NO - A tent or canopy? Only if it does not stake into the ground. We may ask you to move your tent.
