About this event

The San Francisco Neo-Futurists invite you to join us for a workshop performance of a brand-new, full-length, Neo-Futurist show: HOLE.

HOLE is an experimental theater piece by Amy Langer and Bahaar Taj in collaboration with the San Francisco Neo-Futurists. Set at the beach, HOLE revolves around the act of literally digging a large hole in the ground—a simple yet profound action that symbolizes human obsession, compulsion, and perseverance. A play without a fourth wall (or, in fact, any walls), HOLE asks the audience: What needs to be done for you to take up the shovel?

The three HOLE workshop shows will take place in the afternoon at a MUNI-accessible, sandy outdoor SF location [exact site shared with RSVP] and serve as a hands-on opportunity for the writers and cast to experiment and learn as we develop this boundary-pushing show. To support the artists’ time, labor, and materials we are asking for a donation of $15 with your RSVP. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, but space is limited and we will be requiring all attendees to RSVP. You will receive an email with further instructions about location and what to bring to the show a few days before the event.

The performance will last approximately one hour.

We HOLE-p to see you there!
