Holding Space - Peer support group for adult survivors of childhood *SA
A quiet, supportive space for adult survivors of childhood *SA to come together and feel less alone.
Holding Space is a peer community, created for adult survivors of childhood *SA (CSA). This is a calm, supportive environment to breathe, connect, and be in the presence of others who understand.
This is not therapy, counseling, or a clinical mental health service. The facilitator is not a licensed therapist or certified peer specialist. This space is for connection and shared experience, not diagnosis, treatment, or crisis support. If you are in need of clinical mental health care or are in crisis, please seek support from a licensed professional or appropriate crisis resource.
We’ll begin with a short guided meditation to help ground and settle your body. From there, we’ll move into an optional, gentle check-in followed by a simple connection practice to support safety, presence, and human connection.
Safety and triggers:
- There is no pressure to speak or participate beyond what feels right for you.
- We avoid sharing graphic details of abuse. Focus is on feelings, present experience, and connection.
- You are encouraged to step out, take a break, or pause at any time if needed.
- The facilitator may gently redirect or pause discussions that feel unsafe or overwhelming to maintain a supportive container.
- This space is for connection, not advice, therapy, or clinical guidance.
This gathering is for adult survivors of CSA (18+) seeking a quiet, intentional space for connection and support.
Holding Space sessions take place at Block Portrait Studios in connection with our Thank You For Telling Me That portrait project. Participants who want to learn more about the portrait project, or stay updated on future gatherings, follow us on Instagram at @thank.you.for.telling.me.that
