About this event

Professional massage turned x-rated rubdown? Sexy secretary and boss working late? Delivery guy with an extra large package? Roleplay, while enticing, can be intimidating! In this workshop, Sexologist Niki Davis-Fainbloom will give you all the tools to get over those nervous giggles, get into character, and try out roleplay in (or out of) the bedroom.

She will discuss the underlying fantasies that can be explored in roleplay, such as power, taboo, and gender-bending, and how to figure out what type of scene would excite you. Attendees will leave the workshop with the skills to prepare for a scene, ideas for the type of scene they would be interested in exploring, and tips to make the scene as pleasurable as possible.

Who should attend:

This class is aimed at beginners but open to all. Come with a partner or solo. All genders, orientations, and relationship structures are welcome.

About the Instructor:

Niki Davis-Fainbloom is a Canadian-born, New York-based sex educator, writer, researcher, and coach. She has facilitated hundreds of sexual education workshops, including at Planned Parenthood, New York University, and the United Nations, since completing her Master's degree at NYU in psychology of sexual dysfunction. Furthermore, her writing has been featured in publications such as Mind Body Green, Cosmopolitan, Refinery 29, and The Insider. After studying sex therapy at Guelph University, she built up her coaching practice, specializing in working with fetishes, sexual trauma, ethical non-monogamy, and pleasure. By combining cutting-edge research, humor, and practical advice, she helps people build healthier, more satisfying relationships.

Hit Me Up is New York City’s curated community for poly and kink. We run meetups, parties, and teach kink with House of Yes, Caveat, Torture Garden, Dances of Vice, and other venues around the city. We got our start running small events for our friends that quickly outgrew multiple venues. Now we are working to build the kink and poly community that NYC deserves—safer, friendlier, and weirder.
